John Kenneally Vc

John Kenneally won the VC during the Tunisian campaign in the Second World War for attacking a whole company of Panzer Grenadiers on his own. It was only years later that he revealed that 'John Kenneally' was an assumed name that he had adopted in order to join the Irish Guards after deserting the Honourable Artillery Company. He was in fact the illegitimate son of Neville Blond and Gertrude. He died in September 2000 and is survived by his second wife and children.
