Addy Mayford's Last Feast
By Hina Belitz
A unique, modern retelling of the legend of Scheherazade in the vein of THE IMPROBABILITY OF LOVE
A re-telling of 1001 ARABIAN NIGHTS for the modern world, ADDY MAYFORD'S LAST FEAST is the empowering story of Addy, a girl forced to choose between duty and desire.
Born to a British Asian family, Addy has always tried to temper her love of cooking and follow the traditional path her mother laid out for her. However, after Addy is forced to return home after the catastrophic break down of her marriage, she feels compelled to finally follow her dream - much to the horror of her family.
Then, while on holiday, Addy is kidnapped and held captive by people determined to ransom her. The only way she can survive is to supply her captors with delicious meals every day. Will Addy's talent be enough to save her?
