Readers’ Choice Winner for June

With free SF Masterworks up for grabs, the tension couldn’t be higher. Four readers entered the arena, armed with their favourite Gateway book, but only one would leave the field of play alive. The others – no, wait; that’s The Hunger Games. Sorry – got carried away there for a moment.

We are delighted to announce – without bloodshed – that the Readers’ Choice title most clicked on by you, the readers, was Poul Anderson‘s The Broken Sword – ‘A blood-drenched retelling of Scandinavian mythology, where amoral gods and elves draw a good man and his evil shadow into a tragic final conflict’ – meaning the winner of June’s SF Masterworks prize is . . . drumroll, please . . . The Star Plunderer!

Congratulations, Mr Plunderer – may we call you ‘Star’? – you have won copies of June’s SF Masterworks, Isaac Asimov‘s Hugo and Nebula Award-winning The Gods Themselves and James Morrow‘s biting Swiftian satire, This is the Way the World Ends.  Just as soon as you provide us with a postal address, we’ll get those copies out to you.
